The Registered Nurse in the Primary Care Division working here in the Center for Women's Health is a member of a multi-disciplinary team and has the primary responsibility for and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. This includes representing the practice both in person and on the telephone, other OHSU departments, and non-OHSU facilities. The Registered Nurse assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered. This position is responsible for both primary care triage and care management. Care Management is an aspect of the Primary Care Division and that will continue to grow as Primary Care grows in the Center for Women's Health. Phone triage assessment and nurse visits are also a large part of the primary care RN role at CWH.
