About The Position

Piedmont Eastside is seeking a Full Time RN for the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) on night shifts. This 18-bed cardiac unit specializes in the care of both cardiac and vascular patients. The typical patient population found in the CCU includes but is not limited to patients with diagnoses of chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, CHF exacerbation, hypertensive emergency, pulmonary embolism and/or DVT, and patients that have had AAA repair and carotid endarterectomy. Our unit is an intermediate/step down unit. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:4 when caring for these patients. Our nursing staff work closely with both our cardiology and vascular teams to ensure exceptional care for our patients. Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required for PRN positions.
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
• Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
