Cleveland Clinic Staffing Resources (CCFSR) offers the opportunity to care for patients in various departments across Weston Hospital. As an RN on this team, you will be required to float in the Operating Room (OR), which includes open-heart and liver transplant cases. You will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional support, from initial introduction to final send-off, interacting directly with patients and families to enhance their experience, providing healthcare information, and addressing the behavioral, developmental and psychosocial needs of patients of all ages.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Two years of recent Operating Room experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous experience as an RN in Main OR
  • Ability to support multiple modalities

Responsibilities

  • Provide general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound procedures and practices.
  • Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
  • Assess and document patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Monitor, record and document patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Attend Department Meetings and complete mandatory education/organizational requirements.
