About The Position

A Registered Nurse who provides individualized care to patients requiring angiographic diagnostic evaluation and possible intervention. Emphasis is placed on assessment of healthcare needs, implementation of therapeutic treatment and anticipation, recognition and, if necessary, intervention of adverse effects of procedures/medical condition to assure positive patient outcomes. In addition, the angiographic cath lab nurse provides patient/family education to promote optimal healthcare status upon discharge.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Two years recent Critical Care/or ED experience
• Completion of NIHSS certification
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Nice To Haves

• Three years angiographic catheterization laboratory experience
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
