Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Education level necessary to obtainrequired licensure and certifications
- Experience in Critical Care or EmergencyNursing required.
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

- Previous Cath Lab experience, upon hire
Responsibilities
- Provides necessary assessment , intervention and evaluation for Cath Lab patients
- Uses multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Maintanis competence and functions independently with more complex treatments, procedures, and medical equipment such as set up and troubleshooting of IABP, Hemodynamic monitoring, Administration of Aniti-thrombolytic therapy, ECG monitors, cardiopulmonary arrest, perform activated clotting times (ACTs).
- Act quickly and appropriately in life-threatening emergency situations.
- Willingly participates and adheres to NPSG and The Joint Commission core measures to ensure safe patient care.
- Holding room, Receives patients from nursing units and outside hospitals
- Assesses pre-procedure needs and institues appropriate nursing care, provides post-procedure care following physician orders, directs transfer of post-procedure patients to appropriate nursing unit.
