Requirements

  • Proven experience as a registered nurse
  • RN degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Active and unencumbered Oregon nursing license
  • Excellent knowledge of hospice nursing care methods and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Curious, Compassionate, and Resilient with excellent problem-solving skills towards comfort measures

Nice To Haves

  • one year hospice experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care and Assessment : Monitor patients' conditions, assess their needs, and provide the best possible care.
  • Symptom Management : Observe and interpret patients' symptoms, communicating to the Executive Director of Patient Care and updating the EMR system.
  • Collaboration : Work alongside the entire Interdisciplinary team creating a positive experience of comfort to the patient and family.
  • Procedures and Documentation : Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurements, administering injections) and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Medication Management : Monitor patients' medication needs and convey insights to the Medical Director and Executive Director of Patient Care.
  • Supportive Environment : Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
  • Professional Development : Expand knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences, and online training.
