The Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute cares for patients with a variety of heart, vascular and thoracic diseases and provides the highest level of patient care, innovative treatments and a welcoming environment to all. The J6-1 Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute and provides care to post-open heart surgery patients and telemetry patients who have undergone innovative and cardiac procedures, such as valve replacement/repair, aneurysm repair, Maze, radiofrequency ablation, pulmonary vein isolation, pacemaker and defibrillator implant/removal and robotic assisted surgery. J6-1 also cares for patients who are actively weaning from ventilator support. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, 7:00am - 7:30pm.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
1 year of current acute care RN experience. (Will consider military RN experience)
