Requirements

  • CA RN license (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiac or cardiovascular (Required)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of national cardiovascular quality programs, measures, and registries.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Quality, Cardiac Nursing, or related specialty preferred (e.g., CPHQ, CVRN).
  • Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
  • Experience in quality management, clinical data analysis, or registry data submission.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, extracts, validates, and analyzes cardiovascular clinical data from electronic health records and other reporting systems.
  • Prepares and submits data to national registries (e.g., ACC, STS, CDR, AHA, CMS quality measures) and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and process measures.
  • Partners with leadership, physicians, and frontline staff to implement evidence-based best practices and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assists in the development of action plans and track progress toward quality goals.
  • Monitors compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Develops and delivers quality and performance improvement reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary committees, workgroups, and service line planning meetings.
  • Educates staff on documentation requirements, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluates processes and apply appropriate tools to current projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for cardiovascular quality improvement activities within the service line.
