Join Baylor Heart & Vascular Hospital (BHVH) Dallas as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac ICU and be part of something better! As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
  • Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
  • Create care plans reflecting values to aid in resolving issues.
  • Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
  • Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly.
  • Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff.
  • Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
  • Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, and commit to growth.
  • Contribute to peers' development and show commitment to community service.
  • 1 year related Tele experience required to be considered.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Program in nursing.
  • RN license.
  • Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
  • A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
  • Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and their side effects.
  • Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and effective critical thinking.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.
