About The Position

Cardiovascular ICU AHN Jefferson Hospital CVU is a 10 bed ICU. Our primary patient population is open heart surgery, but our surgeons are cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeons so we see thoracic surgery patients (wedge resections, lobectomies, and pneumonectomies), and vascular bypass patients as well. The unit is under the direction of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Team and APP staff 24/7. Assesses patient reports/records change of condition and notifies physician and/or supervisor and intervenes appropriately and documents accordingly.
