About The Position

The RN position in the Progressive Care Stepdown Unit is responsible for providing and directing safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for inpatient cardiovascular patients ranging from adolescents to aging adults. The role includes key accountabilities such as assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. The RN must adhere to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by the ANA and actively participate in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in Iowa; Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois within 1 year.
  • Basic Life Support certification; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Baccalaureate in Nursing.
