About The Position

The RN position in the Progressive Care Stepdown Unit is responsible for providing and directing safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for inpatient cardiovascular patients ranging from adolescents to aging adults. Key accountabilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. The role requires adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by the ANA and active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse in Iowa; Registered Nurse in Illinois within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• No prior experience required.

• Baccalaureate in Nursing.
