The J7-1/J7-3 Cardiology Stepdown unit is for patients with heart issues that are about to have procedures such as open-heart surgery and pacemaker implantation. If you are looking for ample learning opportunities, this is a great place to work because of the comorbidities (the presence of two or more diseases or medical conditions in a patient). With a strong focus on providing psychological safety, this unit's team of caregivers are well supported and team-oriented. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. How You’ll Benefit Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. We’re dedicated to providing what matters most to you. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working day/evening/night/weekend shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
External applicants: must have two years of recent related nursing experience.
Internal applicants: with less than two years of experience but post orientation/90-day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
Will consider licensed military RN experience
