About The Position

Under minimal supervision, function primarily as a scrub and/or circulating nurse within the Main Operating Room. Administrative and teaching responsibilities to be performed as necessary, including inventory, instrument set-ups and chart reviews. Implement appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis, relevant to an operating room arena. Function as a member of a team. Inherent duties include, but are not limited to, the proper care of instrumentation and equipment, utilization of all safety measures and the accurate completion of all documentation.

Requirements

• 1 Year Cardiac Experience Required
• Circulate & Scrub experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current active California RN licensure
• Clinical skills applicable to nursing specialty
• Writing skills to document operative procedures accurately
• Skills in setting priorities and organizing workload effectively
• Ability to speak English with excellent medical/surgical terminology
• Compliance with department standards including attendance and dress code
• Must pass a post offer physical

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac OR experience desired
• BSN required
• Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
