About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent opportunity in Gainesville, Florida. The Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to manage patient care autonomously while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for.
• Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience within the last 4 years required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment start.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of employment start.
• Strong cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical nursing skills.
• Must live within commutable distance (facility will not accept candidates living 60 minutes or more away).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition upon admission and throughout each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting changes promptly.
• Perform ordered procedures, monitoring, and nursing interventions with accurate and timely documentation.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse responses.
• Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to patient needs and anticipating concerns.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Advocate for patient safety, quality outcomes, and effective care coordination.
