The 5 East Cardiac Stepdown Unit at Indian River Hospital offers acuity telemetry and medical attention to a diverse patient population. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works variable nights from 6:45PM - 7:15AM, with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
