The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular nursing, a passion for patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of cardiac patients, including monitoring vital signs, heart rhythms, and hemodynamic status.
  • Administer medications, including IV drips, anticoagulants, and cardiac medications, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition, respond to emergencies, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, and other cardiac interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on managing cardiac conditions, including lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and recognizing warning signs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, dietitians, physical therapists, and case managers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
