About The Position

Join Our Team! Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to join our dynamic team! In this rewarding part-time role, you'll work closely with our cardiac rehabilitation and diabetes education programs, helping patients on their journey to better health. You'll also have the opportunity to expand your skills through cross-training on our hospital inpatient unit, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
  • Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessments, provide patient education, triage, and perform various other nursing interventions.
  • Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules.
