Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a telemetry monitored nursing unit.
• Familiarity with cardiac conditions and treatments.
• Certifications in ACLS/NIH within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Care Unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary.
• Participate in shared governance and professional growth initiatives.
• Ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
