As a nurse, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will perform responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice, utilizing critical thinking, management, problem-solving, and differentiation of urgency in your role as a clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer. You will direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery. Your practice will be guided by the code of ethics for nurses, and you will contribute to quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; Associates or Bachelors preferred.
  • Experience required; competency assessment must be completed successfully.
  • Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and document patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
