About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical-Surgical / Cardiac Neuro RN to provide patient-centered care for adult stroke, neuro, and med-surg patients. The RN will perform clinical assessments, deliver treatments autonomously, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 1–2 years) Acute Care RN Med-Surg / Telemetry experience required
• Candidates with acute rehab experience (Kindred, Encompass, HealthSouth, Select Specialty) may also be considered if comfortable working in a stroke unit
• Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days)
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of start
• ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months of start

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive patient data and analyze assessments to identify issues and diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with expected outcomes
• Monitor critical vital signs and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Advocate for patient safety and quality care
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments
• Ensure efficient use of time, supplies, and equipment in patient care
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
