Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-surgical recovery, heart failure, myocardial infarctions, and arrhythmias.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform advanced cardiac assessments, and intervene in life-threatening emergencies.
- Educate patients and families about their condition, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
