Weston Hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab cares for cardiac patients on both an elective and emergent basis who are having/have had a heart transplant or have been diagnosed with a myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, valvular heart disease or peripheral vascular disease. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One year of current acute care RN experience.
• Will consider licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Two-three years of nursing experience
• EKG knowledge
• PACU, ICU, or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
