This role is for a full-time Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Care and Telemetry Unit (STC2), a 38-bed unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Baylor Scott & White Health is recognized as the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, committed to innovation, collaboration, integrity, and patient compassion. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. The Cardiac Care and Telemetry Unit is characterized by strong teamwork, supportive leadership, a highly collaborative culture, and an infrastructure that enables nurses to practice at the top of their license while ensuring patient safety and quality. The unit fosters a family-oriented atmosphere, promoting open communication, staff well-being, and professional development. The unit provides care for a diverse patient population, from adults to geriatrics, with stable cardiac medical conditions such as Cardiac Ablations, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (Watchman), Permanent Pacemaker Placement, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular Interventions, and Percutaneous Cardiac Interventions. It also manages stable neurological conditions including Stable Stroke, Seizure, Weakness, and Syncope. The Cardiac Care Unit integrates closely with multidisciplinary teams across social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary services, ensuring patient care is grounded in evidence-based best practices and supports Baylor Scott & White's mission through shared governance, professional growth, quality care, and patient satisfaction.
