The RN Call Center position at UnityPoint Health is a vital role that involves providing care over the telephone by thoroughly assessing symptoms to identify the acuity of callers or patients. This position requires the nurse to utilize best-practice updated protocols embedded within the electronic medical record (eMR) system to support appropriate care delivery. The nurse will be responsible for triage, care management, referral management, and telehealth support, ensuring that patients receive the necessary guidance and resources. The role is designed to operate within a call center environment, which demands quick thinking, multitasking, and the ability to navigate various computer software systems efficiently. The RN will work in a 24/7 operation, with the majority of services provided during evenings and weekends, and will be expected to work three days a week with varied shifts from 7 AM to 6:30 PM, including three out of six holidays and rotating weekends. The position may allow for remote work in certain regions, including Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Des Moines, Sioux City, or Quad Cities.
