The position will float between the Buffalo Clinic located in the hospital and the Buffalo Crossroads Clinic. This is a .9 FTE (72-hours per 2-week schedule) role with 4 9-hour day shifts and one regular day off per week. There are no weekend shifts, and it is full-time benefit eligible.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 0 to 2 years RN experience; may consider new graduate RN.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if working in the state of MN upon hire.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required per American Heart Association guidelines within 30 Days.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-BC Ambulatory Care preferred.
  • Intravenous Therapy (IV) Certification for working in Urgent Care within 180 Days required.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, prioritize and synthesize comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Implement the identified plan in a safe, timely, appropriate manner.
  • Evaluate the patient's progress towards attainment of the outcome.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities related to nursing practice.
  • Engage in self-evaluation of practice on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Act in an ethical manner and maintain a therapeutic and professional patient-nurse relationship.
  • Integrate research findings in practice.
  • Manage resources to assure they will be accessible to others in the future.
  • Provide leadership in the professional practice setting.
