About The Position

MAJOR FUNCTION: Provides nursing services to patients requiring care. Ability to assess the physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients. Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care based on those assessments. Capable of delegating appropriate tasks and supervising ancillary staff.

Requirements

• You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. BSN or MSN graduates preferred
• Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement: Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM
• Previous experience in psychiatry.
• Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing preferable, but not essential.
• Current registration with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Welle certification required (will train).
• BLS required.
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge, nursing competence, basic leadership skills and decision-making ability.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or MSN graduates preferred
• Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing preferable, but not essential.
• National Certification preferred.
