Electrophysiology (EP) is a medical subspecialty and diagnostic procedure that studies the heart’s electrical activity to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. An electrophysiology study (EP study) uses catheters with electrodes to record the heart's electrical signals and can involve interventions like catheter ablation or pacemaker/defibrillator implantation. By joining the EP team as an RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Invasive Lab. You will have a direct impact on patient care and be the one to shape the patient's experience, while being a part of an elite healthcare organization.
