About The Position

An opportunity to join Trinity Health Livonia as a Registered Nurse in the Birthing Center. Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, intensive care, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health services. The hospital has received numerous awards for clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. The Birthing Center is a 20-bed LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit that provides a family-centered approach to childbirth, allowing mothers and newborns to stay together. It includes a dedicated triage area for rapid assessment and prioritization of expectant mothers, focusing on safety, comfort, and personalized experiences. The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, which includes coordinating and evaluating care, teaching, and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members using therapeutic self, the nursing process, and the environment.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Nursing required
• Must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years if not already held
• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
• BLS required
• Must be computer proficient
• Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Previous medical surgical experience preferred

Responsibilities
