RN - BHSL Interventional Psychiatry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Interventional Psychiatry Hospital-Based Outpatient Department is responsible for a broad range of activities that are critical to the functioning of the services. The RN will consistently provide effective direct care to a variety of patients, work as part of the interdisciplinary team, based on licensure, title, and competencies. The RN seeks, as well as provides, feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice. PRI Interventional Services includes ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), SAINT TMS, Esketamine Administration, and IV Ketamine Infusions. The RN works under the direct supervision of the CSM.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic, and accountability
- Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within six months of hire.
