Euclid Hospital’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Unit specializes in the treatment of patients above the age of 60 whose principal diagnosis and focus of treatment are mental disorders. Treatment often includes family member participation, aftercare and ongoing care planning following discharge. This unit’s behavioral health services encompass art, dance movement and recreational therapies, social work, pastoral care, psychiatry, internal medicine, physical, occupational and speech therapies, dietary and more. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
