They manage four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota. CHI St. Alexius Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. This role is for a Full-Time Registered Nurse on the Inpatient Behavioral Health Team at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND. The position emphasizes compassion, empathy, and advocating for mental well-being, guiding patients and their families through vulnerable moments to rediscover stability and hope.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Ability to embody #humankindness and lead with compassion, connecting with patients and families on a deeply human level.
  • Proficiency in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive, individualized care plans.
  • Ability to confidently manage patient assignments and ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to role model positive behaviors and mentor colleagues.
  • Commitment to completing job-specific competencies, including age-specific care.

Responsibilities

  • Skillfully assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive, individualized care plans utilizing the nursing process, focusing on holistic well-being for a diverse patient population.
  • Confidently manage patient assignments, ensuring seamless coordination of care and optimal patient placement, always keeping individual needs at the forefront.
  • Be a vital link within the multidisciplinary team, partnering with physicians, care coordinators, therapists, and management, fostering a cohesive healing environment through effective communication.
  • Role model positive behaviors, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Complete job-specific competencies, including age-specific care, ensuring adeptness at meeting the unique needs of all patients.
