About The Position

The RN position at Piedmont Medical Care Corporation involves providing a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practices. The RN will be responsible for triaging calls, administering medications, providing patient education, and performing clinical procedures under the direction of a physician.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited registered nurse program or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• State of Georgia Licensure as a registered nurse required.
• BLS CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming telephone calls and respond to questions regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Coordinate telephone requests to refill prescription medications according to physician's directions and protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical nursing standards; observe, record, and report patients' conditions.
• Advise physician of patients' adverse reactions to drugs and/or treatments.
• Provide patient education and teaching under the direction of a physician; answer questions regarding diagnostic testing and treatment.
• Dress wounds according to standard clinical procedures.
• Administer and monitor IV fluids and medications as necessary.
• Perform MA duties as indicated.
