Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN required). Current incumbents must achieve by July 1, 2024.
• Two years clinical RN experience.
• Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association.
• Additional competencies to align with annual competency grid.
• Nursing Specialty Certification. Must achieve and maintain professional certification within two years of becoming ANM.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, achieving, and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations.
• Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
• Collaboratively works with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed.
• Will assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
• Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation.
• Support daily staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity.
• Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
• Encourage associate participation in decision through shared governance structure.
• Develop an understanding around the importance of relationships and support team dynamics by role modeling professional behavior.
