About The Position

Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring an experienced RN to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing. As the Assisted Director of Nursing at Valley View Village , you will provide leadership and oversight to licensed nurses and care staff, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with all nursing and health department standards. This role also serves as the Infection Control Nurse , overseeing the Antibiotic Stewardship Program and wound care management. Requirements

• Must have a current Iowa RN license or have RN licensure within the compact states.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
• Current CPR Certification.
• 3-5 years of experience as a nurse supervisor in a skilled health care facility required.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Work to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Manage and assign tasks to nursing staff on the assigned unit.
• Work with the DON to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Notify attending physicians and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition and take follow up action as necessary.
• Monitor in-house transfers, transfers to other facilities, and discharge planning.
• Document and maintain paperwork, referral records, and reports.
• Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Step in to support the nursing floor and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
