Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
  • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
  • NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with health care delivery systems, nursing process, and concepts of case coordination.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, hospital information systems, and patient care applications.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize the principles of adult learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to participate on and/or lead teams effectively.
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems, and to lead staff through the change process.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and knowledge both verbally and in writing, in a concise manner.
  • Establishing Relationships Builds effective networks, working relationships, and alliances with a broad range of stakeholders (both internal and external) in order to collaborate effectively within divisions and across boundaries.   • Ability to push/pull up to 20lbs, carry and lift up to 20lbs.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
