The Clinical Nurse provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in various patient care departments, adhering to the State Board of Nursing Practice Act, the American Nursing Association Code of Ethics, and established standards of practice. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse actively participates in patient care decisions and nursing practice, serving as an instructor, colleague, researcher, advocate, and leader. Competency in quality care, process improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration, consultation, and professional development is essential. The role involves planning, organizing, delegating, and evaluating care provided by LPNs, technicians, medical receptionists, and other staff.
