Indian River Hospital provides wound care management to patients suffering from wounds that have not healed within 30 days such as diabetic ulcers, burns, and necrotizing infections. Our multidisciplinary team provides a wide range of services and has access to advanced wound healing technology. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience.
Will consider licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
Inpatient and wound care experience

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
