Physicians at Cleveland Clinic provide a full range of general gynecologic services for women, from yearly examinations and screenings to highly specialized procedures. General gynecologic problems include abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, loss of bladder control, pelvic floor disorders, problems with pelvic support and pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Our staff is especially compassionate and skilled in helping parents understand that gynecologic problems are not outgrown - they must be addressed and treated. By joining the OB/GYN team as an RN Ambulatory Team Lead, you will coordinate and oversee daily operations, workflows, delivery of care and caregiver education, as needed. Some of your responsibilities will include direct patient support, while others are more clerical and administrative in nature. By acting as a patient liaison, you will help get patients in a critical diagnosis situation scheduled for diagnostic testing, which will help to eliminate stress due to potential delays. A caregiver in this position works Monday- Thursda y from 7 :00AM - 4: 0 0PM and Friday from 7:00AM - 1:00PM .

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • Two years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience
  • OB/ GYN nursing experience
  • Office experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to a specific patient population in various ambulatory settings.
  • Assist in providing clinical oversight to assigned employees and patients to ensure quality and safe care.
  • Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues in specified clinical area .
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned caregivers.
  • Assist in the preparation of the department specific education for patients and colleagues.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety .
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care.
  • May travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures in various locations.
