About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Bath Health and Wellness Center and become part of a top healthcare system in Akron. This patient-friendly facility offers a variety of primary care, emergency care and specialty services along with Lifestyles, a medically based fitness program and facility. The Bath Health and Wellness Center’s Cancer Care team is comprised of hematology, oncology and infusion therapy care. This experienced team works collaboratively to take cancer treatment to the next level by treating the patient, not the disease. As RN Team Lead, you will coordinate and oversee daily operations, workflows, delivery of care and caregiver education as needed. Some of your responsibilities will include direct patient support, while others are more clerical and administrative in nature. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance both your nursing and management skills while encouraging team growth, facilitating a welcoming patient experience, and bettering your community. A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. No on-call/weekends/holidays requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN Program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Two years of recent RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
  • Infusion/oncology experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to a specific patient population in a variety of ambulatory settings.
  • Assist in providing clinical oversight to assigned caregivers and patients to ensure quality and safe care.
  • Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues.
  • Perform duties of an RN Ambulatory.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned caregivers.
  • Assist in preparing department specific education.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, experience and safety.
