About The Position

The RN Ambulatory Surgery position involves a range of responsibilities centered around patient care in an ambulatory surgery setting. The role requires assessing the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data. The nurse will provide appropriate age-specific nursing interventions that align with the established plan of care and standards of practice. The position emphasizes fostering an environment of caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors. Additionally, the nurse will utilize health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff, adhere to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, and contribute to departmental performance through mentoring novice employees and engaging in hospital-system initiatives that promote Evidence Based Practices. The role also includes opportunities for professional growth through goal setting and participation in educational offerings. Flexibility is required as the nurse may float to assist in other similar units as needed, and will perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse Basic Life Support

  • Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
  • Float to assist in other like units as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
