Requirements

• Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span.
• Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice.
• Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside.
• Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by triaging priority calls and providing safe, evidence-based care over the phone.
• Enjoy a mix of telephonic triage and hands-on clinical skills, keeping your nursing practice well-rounded.
• Be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment that values collaboration, professional growth, and work variety.
• Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
