About The Position

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) is looking for an RN Triage to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery practice located in Bethesda, MD. The RN will provide and coordinate high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to collect objective and sujective data, develop individualized plans of care, and support optimal patient outcomes. In this role, the RN will triage incoming patient-phone call, return patients' calls and portal messages, including urgent cardiothoracic concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate clinical responses. The RN will also support the practice with regulatory and operational needs, guide and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, and work closely with a Nurse Practitioner to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree, Associate degree, or Diploma in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current MD or compact Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Minimal of two years clinical RN experience required.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Team player!

Nice To Haves

  • Surgery | outpatient | ambulatory care nursing experience and/or in patient acute care is a plus.
  • Previous cardiothoracic experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities
