About The Position

The RN-Ambulatory (Allergy) position at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida, is a full-time role focused on providing individualized nursing care to pediatric patients in an ambulatory care setting. Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current Florida Nursing license or compact license.
• Minimum of six months Registered Nurse (RN) experience required; one year pediatric specialty experience preferred.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in partnership with the child, family, and community resources.
• Utilize the nursing process to evaluate and deliver nursing care.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development, pathophysiology, and family dynamics in care delivery.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnostic procedures, medical conditions, and treatment plans.
• Oversee patient flow and provide clinical direction to team members.
• Document all aspects of nursing care delivery appropriately.
• Evaluate child/family responses to nursing/medical interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Maintain patient/family confidentiality and privacy.
• Advocate for the child and collaborate with families and social service agencies when necessary.
