About The Position

Brook Lane is a leading behavioral health organization in Western Maryland, dedicated to improving the emotional and mental well-being of individuals across all ages. Our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive, structured treatment for adults experiencing acute mental health challenges—offering comprehensive care while allowing patients to return home each evening. Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and support staff who work collaboratively to provide a compassionate, safe, and therapeutic environment focused on recovery and stabilization. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Adult PHP , you’ll play an essential role in supporting adults coping with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health concerns. You’ll provide both medical and emotional support to patients, helping them stabilize, build coping skills, and transition successfully to lower levels of care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of Maryland (or compact state eligibility).
• Education - ASN required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• BSN Preferred.
• Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including mental health and physical health evaluations.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding medication, mental health management, and healthy coping strategies.
• Monitor for changes in patient status and intervene appropriately to ensure safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program and regulatory standards.
• Support a therapeutic environment that promotes patient stabilization and empowerment.
