Requirements

- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate's Degree
Responsibilities
- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
- Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.
- Works with Nursing Supervisor to ensure department is compliant with DNV standards.
- Assist with coordination of care for patients age 18-150.
- Perform telephone triage of both acute chronic needs for patients age 18 -150.
- Assist with in office procedures, such as incision drainage, joint injections.
- Provide in office educations for patients with newly diagnosed diabetes age 18-150.
- Administration of immunizations medications to patients age 18-150
- Obtain prior authorization for testing outside specialty referrals.
