Indian River Hospital’s 3E Additional Care/Telemetry Overflow Unit cares for and monitors heart rhythms for cardiac patients. As an RN on this team, you will learn and enhance your nursing skills through hands-on patient care experience. You will join a family of caregivers who are engaged, highly communicative, and dedicated. All the while, you will be encouraged to pursue personal and professional development opportunities within Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this position works days from 6:45AM – 7:15PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
