As a Progressive Care (Acute Care Step-down) Registered Nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, you'll coordinate nursing care – including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. In Progressive Care, there are opportunities for RNs to gain leadership experience through Preceptor, Clinical Practice Leader, Relief Charge and Quality Improvement roles. Sign-on Bonus & relocation available for qualified candidates. Work schedule: 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) Day Shift and Night Shift Available 12-hour Nights, 7:00pm – 7:00am 12-hour Days, 7:00am - 7:00pm Non-Exempt Where you’ll work: Presbyterian Hospital is PHS’s flagship hospital – located in the heart of Albuquerque. Strategically designed, decentralized nurse’s stations that facilitate provider collaboration and access to patient rooms Spacious, private wellness rooms for breastfeeding employees An employee gym with brand-new fitness equipment More about our Progressive Care (Step Down) Units: Acute Medical Step-Down: The Acute Medical Step-Down unit at Presbyterian Hospital provides care for high acuity patients within a culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect. Cardiac Step-Down: Cardiac ICU Step Down is comprised of 2 units totaling 50 beds. This unit provides patient-focused, specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for various Cardiovascular disorders, including Cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit. The Cardiac Progressive Units provide quality care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. We strive to provide the best professional patient care during our patients’ stay, followed by personalized discharge planning to meet outpatient needs. Neuro Step-Down Units: The Neuro Step Down Unit is a dedicated team of high-performing nurses providing exceptional patient care within the 29-bed unit. This unit is highly specialized neurology Step-Down, dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from neurosurgery, or neurological injuries – to include psych patients. Joint Commission-Accredited Primary Step-Down. How you thrive matters here. As a Registered Nurse at Presbyterian, you’ll be eligible for: Night and weekend differentials Education differentials ($2.00/hour for BSN; $4.00/hour for MSN) Sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates Relocation assistance for qualifying candidates

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or above required.
  • Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
  • Registered Nurse-NM State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
