Euclid Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specializes in the care of adult to mature adult patients with major medical, cardiac and surgical diagnoses. The ICU strives to provide excellent care in an atmosphere that is caring and comforting not only for patients, but also families, loved ones and caregivers. As an RN on the Acute Medical Emergency Team (AMET), you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire.
• NIH stroke scale certification prior to hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
• Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
