About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care at Lincoln Memorial Hospital involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting. Requirements

  • Current RN license in Illinois required.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
  • New graduates and experienced RNs welcome.
  • Meets credit range for Clinical Ladder levels.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred for Clinical Nurse I, II, III, and IV levels.
  • Evidence of performance across categories for Clinical Nurse II, III, and IV levels.
  • Enrollment or completion of MSN for Clinical Nurse IV level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care, performing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to physician orders.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans and discharge instructions.
  • Lead and coordinate care by supervising LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks, ensuring a secure and supportive patient environment.
  • Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices.
  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and clinical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Support patient and family education to promote informed healthcare decisions.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new nurses and students.
  • Participate in professional development, continuing education and hospital-wide quality initiatives.
